World Harp Day aims to be a platform facilitating inter-cultural exchanges and global collaboration in order to promote a culture of peace and "unity in diversity" through harp music.

World Harp Day supports UN SDGs 3, 4, and 16 through three main types of harp music projects: 
​
(1) promoting quality education and wellbeing programs for public, with a focus on underprivileged students;
(2) advocating for preservation / restoration of cultural heritage at risk, e.g., historic instruments or sites; and 
(3) facilitating inter-cultural collaboration in order to celebrate cultural diversity and to drive innovation.
